תְּרוּעָה

תְּרוּעָהf. (b. h. רוּעַ I) blowing the trumpet, esp. Truʿah, a rapid succession of three notes, tremolo. R. Hash. IV, 9 שיעור ת׳, v. יַבָּבָה. 34a שיעור תקיעה כת׳ שיעור ת׳וכ׳ the value of a Tḳiʿah is equal to a Truʿah, and that of a Truʿah is equal to three Shbarim.
